When everything began to bloom
Regent's Park, London
Cherry blossom season became our thing. Every year, without fail, we'd go on a sakura hunt together.
Greenwich Park, London
Yu Zon is eternally grateful to the lady who has an entire website dedicated to tracking when the cherry blossoms are blooming in Greenwich Park.
Notting Hill, London
We went cherry blossom and magnolia hunting in Notting Hill — looking at houses we can't afford, and laughing about how crazy it would be to live in a place like that one day.
Summer
Chasing the sun together
Plitvice Lakes, Croatia
The water really is that blue... blessed to see unreal views together.
Snowdonia, Wales
Hiked up a random mountain in Snowdonia with Nick, Sherman, and RJ. This was our first hike together!
Mt Etna, Sicily
Our first visit to an active volcano. Dark lava fields, dramatic clouds, and wind so strong we could barely stand. Unforgettable.
Autumn
Falling for each other, again and again
Busan, South Korea
Arms wide open at Gamcheon Culture Village with the Little Prince statue. We felt like kids again.
Lake District, UK
The moment Guo Jie told Yu Zon she was so bad at throwing pebbles she should just leave the lake. Bet you never guessed that backstory ;).

Our first visit to Hyde Park in autumn — when we fell in love with the season, the crunch of leaves underfoot, and the way the sun turned everything gold.
Winter
The cold that kept us close
Oslo, Norway
Our first skiing experience thanks to Hedda and Sigurd who guided us newbies. YZ fell approximately 47 times while GJ pretended not to count. Oh, she also crashed into a pizza restaurant at peak lunch hour, but that's a story for another day.

This was when GJ tagged along while YZ was on a work trip in Oslo. We watched one of the most beautiful sunsets ever on the rooftop of the Opera House. YZ felt like she was very creative for thinking of this photo op.
New Year's Day, London
We waited four hours in the cold with friends to watch the NYE fireworks. It was worth every frozen minute — we rang in 2026 together.
Family

Christmas morning with Esther and Timothy. We always have a warm home (and board game cafe) in Liverpool thanks to them.

Milestones
The moments that marked the journey
First Musical
Our first musical together, and not the last. Lion King, The Waitress, Hamilton, Frozen, Les Mis... and we're nowhere near done.
First Trip
The first trip together. 11 countries later, and the suitcase still gets packed the night before.
First IKEA Trip
A meatball lunch, the giant blue bag, half a flat in flatpack form. Properly grown-up.
First Vaccines
Two vaccine cards, side by side. The most romantic thing about 2021.
First Friend's Wedding
The first friend's wedding we attended as a couple. Turns out we love nothing more than celebrating love. (Including yours, if you're reading this.)
First Visit to Langkawi
YZ's first visit to Langkawi in 2024. GJ's home, and the place that means the most to him. We didn't know it yet, but we'd be getting married on this island.
First Visit to Shifen
YZ's other half (the Taiwanese half), and the first time GJ got to see it. We wrote our wishes on a lantern in Shifen. Some have already come true.
Birthdays Together
Many birthdays together. This is just one of them. (Children's-day theme: headbands, fast food, plushies, no regrets.)
First Run
Our first run together: a 5K. (We'd signed up for the 10K. Chickened out the morning of.) Step one of getting fit together. We'll get there.
