Getting There

How do I get to Langkawi?

We recommend flying into Langkawi International Airport.

If you're coming from Penang or Kedah, ferries are also an option (though they run less frequently).

When should I arrive and/or leave?

We'd suggest staying 3–4 days. Here's a rough guide:

  • 29 Jan — Best arrival day for exploring (especially for overseas guests)
  • 30 Jan (by 12pm) — Works if you want to arrive on the day

For friends, if you're keen to join our after-party on 31 Jan (we'd love that!), you might consider leaving Langkawi on 1 Feb.

How do I get around?

There's no public transport on the island. Grab works well for short trips. Renting a car is great if you want to explore at your own pace.

Other options

Langkawi is a beautiful island with plenty of hotels and stays along Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah, or browse Airbnb for local villas. For a splurge: The Datai, St. Regis, Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons.

The Wedding

Can I bring a +1?

Please refer to your invitation, and feel free to check with us if you're unsure or would like to bring your significant other.

Are kids welcome?

Yes! Just let us know in your RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Indoor or outdoor?

The tea ceremony will be indoors. The ceremony and dinner will be outdoors by the sea (weather permitting).

What shoes should I wear?

Grass + sand ahead — so best to skip the stilettos. Wedges, block heels, or sandals will keep you comfortable all day. (No slippers please!)

Is the venue accessible?

Yes — there's a buggy service to get you around the resort.

Can I take photos?

Yes! We just ask that you hold off during the ceremony itself as we want you to be fully with us. We'll share an upload link after so everyone can share their shots.

What about gifts?

Your presence is the greatest gift. There will be a registry at the reception for those who wish to contribute.

Dietary requirements?

Please note these in the RSVP form and we'll make sure you're looked after.

Practical Info

What's the weather like?

Tropical — expect 27–33°C. Pack sunscreen, light layers for aircon, and a small umbrella just in case.

Do I need a visa?

Most nationalities can enter Malaysia visa-free for up to 90 days. Please check with your local embassy to confirm.

What to Do

Mangrove Tour

Explore Kilim Geoforest Park — a beautiful mix of nature and wildlife. Spot eagles up close, cruise through the mangroves, and take in the unique landscape. Some tours also offer simple fishing or snorkelling. (If you're lucky, your boat driver might let you take the wheel — only if you're as skilled as Yu Zon. Safety first!)

Sky Bridge

SkyCab & Sky Bridge

Take the cable car up Gunung Mat Cincang (the oldest mountains in Southeast Asia) for panoramic views across the entire Langkawi archipelago.

Eagle Square

Water Sports at Cenang Beach

Head over to Cenang Beach for plenty of water sports fun — from jet skiing and parasailing to banana boat rides. Most importantly, always put safety first and enjoy responsibly!

Island Hopping

Hop between a few of the nearby islands — Langkawi is actually made up of 104 islands! A fun way to explore hidden beaches, swim in clear waters, and enjoy the scenery from the sea. (Guo Jie personally recommends the Mangrove Tour over Island Hopping.)

Indoor & Kid-Friendly

Visit the Underwater World or Langkawi Wildlife Park — both great options for a relaxed day out, especially for families and kids. You'll get to see a variety of marine life and animals up close.
